Stress-Free Meal Prep for Busy Moms: Baby-Friendly Chicken Marinades
Mama, I see you. Whether you’re juggling a 9-to-5 or running the household full-time, dinner can sometimes feel like the biggest hurdle of the day. You’ve worked hard, the kids are fussy, and the last thing you need is a complicated recipe. That’s why I’m sharing one of my ultimate kitchen hacks: prepping chicken marinades ahead of time and freezing them.
This isn’t just a recipe it’s a sanity-saving trick that gives you a delicious, baby-friendly meal on the table in under 30 minutes. And the best part? It works for the whole family.

Why This Recipe Will Save Your Day
• Time-Saving: Prepping the marinades in advance means no last-minute scrambling.
• Baby-Friendly: These gentle, flavorful marinades are perfect for introducing finger foods.
• Family-Approved: Whether it’s a teething baby gnawing on a drumstick or a hungry toddler, everyone loves these meals.
I started serving drumsticks to my little Raphael when he was 8 months old. He loves chewing on them, especially on teething days. Sometimes he devours the whole thing, and sometimes he just plays, chews, and eats the potatoes. And that’s okay! Some days are all about exploring food.

How to Make It Work for You
Batch Prep: I prepare all three marinades at once and freeze individual drumsticks. This makes portioning easy especially if your little one is under one year old like Raphael.

Cooking Made Easy: Simply pop the frozen chicken in the air fryer or oven with some potatoes, and dinner’s ready in no time.
3 Baby-Friendly Chicken Marinades

Cooking Tips
• Oven: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes.
• Air Fryer: Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes until fully cooked.
• Serving Ideas: Pair with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or soft rice.
Pro Tip: I love throwing some seasoned potato wedges into the air fryer alongside the chicken. A drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of paprika, and black pepper—and you’ve got an easy side dish ready to go.

Why Your Family Will Love This
These marinades are perfect for introducing your little one to gentle flavors while still creating a meal that satisfies the whole family. You can enjoy a relaxed dinner, knowing you’ve prepped ahead for a stress-free evening.

Mamas, this is one of those recipes that feels like a little kitchen win. Whether you’re making koussa me7chi and want to use up all that zucchini pulp or just have a few zucchinis sitting in your fridge, this omelet is flexible, delicious, and makes sure nothing goes to waste.

Here’s the golden rule: If you’re grating fresh zucchini, use 1 egg for every 2 medium zucchinis. If you’re using zucchini pulp, count 1 egg for every 5 small to medium zucchini cores. And for every egg you use, add 1 big tablespoon of flour.

So, if you’re cooking a family-sized pot of koussa me7chi, you’ll likely end up with enough pulp for a 3-4 egg omelet perfect for breakfast or even a light dinner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Efficient: Turns zucchini pulp from your tabkhet koussa into a hearty meal.
  • Flexible: Whether you’re using fresh zucchini or leftover pulp, this recipe adapts to whatever you have on hand.
  • Nutritious: Packed with veggies, protein, and simple pantry staples

Serve it warm with some bread, a side salad, or a dollop of yogurt. It’s a satisfying, zero-waste recipe you’ll want to make again and again.

Don’t forget to tag me when you try it. I love seeing your creations!

Enjoy, Mama, you’ve just turned leftovers into something magical!

This is my all-time favorite hydrating treat; it’s a joyful fresco rich in vitamin C. It has a invigorating, delicious taste! Watermelon consists of more than 90% water. It’s perfect for countering the summer heat and serves as a tasty way to increase your hydration levels. I love to have it as a snack after a day at the beach or even when I’m sick!

During summer, I make sure to freeze sealed bags of deseeded watermelon cubes. They take about 30 min to 1h of preparation and last throughout the season. This way, the most important ingredient of this amazing healthy recipe stays readily available in my freezer all summer long.
